Alec Baldwin and his ex-wife Kim Basinger, have been in a bitter, six-year custody dispute, as Alec would like to see reforms in divorce, parental visitation and custody laws.
I would like to devote myself to the cause of parental alienation, the 49-year-old star said on The View, airing on Friday. He also said that he was finishing a book about divorce that is due for publication in September.
Baldwin has also quoted
"Obviously, calling your child a pig or anything else is improper and inappropriate, and I apologise to my daughter for that, but there is nothing wrong with being frustrated or angry... I took it out on the wrong person".
Dr Phil McGraw revealed that Baldwin had contacted him and that they had had 'intense conversation' about the actor's daughter and his ex-wife.
A family law judge has suspended Baldwin's visitation rights, until after a hearing, set for May 4, when Baldwin could face more restrictions on visitation rights with his child.
