As students start to head home for the summer Nova Scotia fears the recent mumps outbreak could follow them home to other provisions.
There have been 157 cases of mumps in Nova Scotia most of which have been located in Halifax. The Department of Health has been investigating the cases.
The department website says symptoms include fever, swollen and tender glands at angle of the jaw, headache and muscle aches.
