No jail time for Willie and his tour manager David Anderson for the Sept. 8, 2006 possession charges.
In 2006 five people got citations for the marijuana and mushrooms that were found on Willie's tour bus. The charges for two bus drivers were dropped and the charges against Willie's sister Bobbie Nelson were also dropped as part of the plea bargain.
Willie and David Anderson, his tour manager, did plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana. They were both fined $1,024 dollars each and put on a six month probation. There was no mention of the original mushroom charge though.
After court procedure Willie, being the down to earth entertainer that he is, posed for pictures with his fans and signed autographs.
