We’ve got to make sure that we do not let go 50 terrorists ...in order to protect that one person who we arrested accidentally ...

Well, I hope it’s your families, I hope it’s your families that suffer the consequences.
This is about more than an ill-conceived remark. This is about a representative of the US Government not understanding the importance of the rule of law. He thinks it is ok to arrest, without proof or charges, citizens who have similar names to suspects, and hold them indefinitely. Read the transcript and watch the video.
I wish I lived in his district so that my not voting for him could have some effect.
It boggles my mind and saddens me that this kind of ignorance of the founding ideals of our country can be so lost on those who have sworn an oath to preserve them.
