article imageA Defiant Massa At Bahrain Looks Nervously Over His Shoulder At The Rookie Hamilton

By Michelle Duffy     Apr 15, 2007 in Sports
The new driver for Ferrari, Felipe Massa has won the Bahrain Grand Prix today whilst the McLaren new boy, Lewis Hamilton romps in, in second place
In this exciting race earlier today, it proved that Massa can only go from strength to strength. In the third victory in his career which has meant he has started first on the grid and won, the outlook seems brighter after a shaky start to the season.
But, all is not home and dry for the young champion of today's race as the keen, new boy, Hamilton took to the front row starting position like a duck to water, leaving a shadow on the podium, coming in a close second. The 22 year old, has already caused more than just a 'beginners luck' stir amongst the teams, in only his third Grand Prix race.
It would seem the newest spark on the block has also won himself a personal podium place, being the first driver in 57 years who has finished his first three races and each, landing himself on the podium.
This certain opens up the championship since the days of Michael Schumaker whose winning reign seemed to last for ever.
"To have another second place in only my third race, I couldn't ask for more. There's only one more step from here. I think it's a fantastic achievement, another to add to my career. I'm extremely proud." Beams the young driver who appears to be the only threat for first place so far.
Kimi Raikkonen brought home third place for Ferrari, while Nick Heidfeld held a confident fourth for the BMW Sauber team.
