article imageToddler burned on acid-coated slide

By malan     Apr 15, 2007 in Crime
Vandals coated playground equipment with drain cleaner, toddler injured.
"What kind of sick joke is that?," Carol Duschl. Her 2-year-old son was burned badly while playing on a slide at the Villa Elementary School playground. The slide was just one of many piece of playground equipment that someone decided to coat with drain cleaner in an attempt to hurt the children playing there. Her son, Peyton is now having surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital today (Sunday).
The material placed on the slide was a drain cleaner, with a high concentration of sulfuric acid. The vandals stole it from a locked storage facility at the school and then decided to pour it out all over the school's playground equipment.
No suspects have been named and no one has been charged with the crime. This is just plain evil, I hope the people behind this are caught.
