The relentless pressure of the news media brings Prince William's and Kate Middleton's relationship to an end.
LONDON - At least for now any hopes for the royal wedding of Prince William to lovely Kate Middleton have been dashed. It is reported that their 4 year relationship has come to an end.
The breakup has been attributed to the intense pressures of the media, and an inability to have a normal lifestyle. The Sun newspaper reported Saturday that the couple had reached an "amicable agreement" to separate. Sources confirmed the split to the Press Association news agency.
Miss Middleton in particular has been hounded by the media for months when it was reported that Prince William and Kate would announce their engagement. Paparazzi have camped outside her home for photo opportunities as she would leave for work. Last month, Middleton filed a complaint of media harassment with Britain's Press Complaints Commission. Earlier this month the Daily Mirror newspaper issued an apology.
It appears that England and the world will have to wait a bit longer for the long awaited wedding of Prince William to his Queen-to-be.
