Green Party Candidate Calls Attack on Twin Towers Beautiful

Kevin Potvin wrote an article in 2002 which was published in an alternative newspaper The Republic of East Vancouver. In this article, Potvin said that when he saw the footage of the first tower collapsed a voice inside him said Yeah and when the second tower fell the same voice said Beautiful. Party leader May, while calling Potvin's words despicable, is giving him the benefit of the doubt and waiting for an explanation. May needs to distance herself and the party from Potvin. His comments are indeed despicable no matter what the context. So far under May's leadership we have the Greens making nice with the Liberals and now this. What is next?
