Fanning the flames of discontent sparked by the Imus controversy, former congressman Tom DeLay is making a plea for his fellow conservatives to get Rosie O'Donnell fired for recent remarks she made.
"I'm calling for conservatives to take on Rosie O'Donnell," DeLay said during an interview with CNN. "She criticized and ridiculed Chinese-Americans, she accused the president of being responsible for 9/11. Let's now start calling for her resignation."
Please...Let's stop stomping all over free speech and get back to work Tommy. In your case that means kicking back and growing fat on the hard work of others.
Tom DeLay(My freedoms) recently wrote an article on TownHall.com titled "If the Left Takes Imus, We’ll Take Rosie."
Take a hike. Enough already. Let people say what they like you brown shirt idiot.
Interesting that his comments come right after Imus was canned. So, now we can apparently go after anyone we don't like and ruin them, as long as we are rich and white and have power...
O'Donnell responded on her blog with a post titled "Tommy D," where she called him a "criminal" and "sad slug," and she also said that his claims about her 9/11 comments were wrong.
She then posted a wikipedia transcript of Delay's indictments for illegal acceptance of funds while he was U.S. House Majority Leader.
I see a dangerous trend taking place here. We had better all be ready to stand up and fight for our freedom of speech. You say one thing that a powerful person does not like and you could be ruined.
