China's national television broadcaster has started filming a series depicting the life of martial arts legend Bruce Lee, as a prelude to the Beijing Summer Olympics next year.
Shooting began in Guangdong province in the city of Shunde, which was the ancestral home of Bruce Lee, who was born in San Francisco in 1940.
The filming will also take place in Hong Kong and the U.S where the kung fu icon lived his active life of movie making, teaching and studying.
Lee will be played by Chen Guokun, who said that he is nervous about playing the role of the larger than life man, who was his hero growing up.
He is best known for his role in the action comedy Kung Fu Hustle and like many other aspiring martial arts students, Lee inspired him to study kung fu for many years.
Bruce Lee's story has been depicted in a few films already, but this could be quite an in depth look at the man who died at only 32, leaving us with only a few major motion picture films to watch his brilliance.
