Joe Francis, 34, finally surrendered to a contempt of court warrant, but not before calling the judge a "judge gone wild."
They should call it "Joe Francis Gone Wild."
The man behind the boobies of the wildly popular video series, "Girls Gone Wild" surrendered to federal marshals Tuesday to pay for a contempt of court citation after defying a federal judge.
The 34-year-old tycoon who makes $29 million a year is currently spending time at the Bay County Jail in Florida.
“His attorneys continue to work toward a settlement,” a Francis spokesperson said.
The contempt citation stemmed from negotiations during a civil lawsuit in which Francis was accused of filming seven underage girls in provocative situations during Spring Break 2003 in Panama City Beach.
Francis reportedly became unruly during proceedings and began cursing at and threatening opposing lawyers.
GIrls Gone Wild is known for showing half-naked party goers who often look young and who've had to much to drink. The company, which is set to open Girls Gone Wild Restaurants this summer, also throws sponsored parties which they use for filming their videos.
Thursday a contempt of court warrant was issued for Francis, but he refused to surrender, calling the judge “a judge gone wild.”
