By Owen Weldon     Apr 10, 2007 in World
Chad's government says it has repelled a rebel raid launched from neighbouring Sudan, leaving many fighters dead.
In the latest conflict between Sudan and Chad eight soldiers in Chad died when 200 vehicles crossed Chad's border. 38 rebel vehicles have been destroyed in the attack and last week more than 40 people were killed when a cross-border raid took place by Sudanese militia. funding by the UN has been approved and now a force of 11,000 might be sent over to stabilize the eastern border region.
