By Sarawanan Ravindran     Apr 8, 2007 in Technology
A video has been leaked that XBOX Live will have Windows Live Messenger integration. However, at this point there is nothing for XBOX 360 that allows you to type words fast. So what's going to happen? Video Included
Their are several website that have obtained a leak of the Spring update to the XBOX Dashboard. One of the features introduced was an upgrade which would allow you to communicate with Windows Live Messenger contact both on XBOX 360 and the Windows platform. However, for the moment only text communication will be available between the two platforms. For those familiar with Windows Live Messenger, it will be fairly similar to how you communicate with Mobile contacts.
The biggest issue with this is that XBOX does not feature any tool that would make text simple. At most a person would write 25 words before they get tired off the text typing interface. Well that's where this rumour keyboard attachment comes in. Gaming site, Joystiq is reporting something of this nature is probably headed to the 360 to make the experience much easier.
This keyboard supposedly snaps on to the 360 controller. The keyboard is not confirmed to be real or not, but the style of the pictures looks pretty real. However, there are many traces of photoshop on the image. Regardless, It would please a lot of people to see this come out with the spring update.
[Update 1: It has been confirmed by Microsoft that this is official]
