A Malaysian man's late-night trip to the toilet saved about 100 people from being buried in rubble.
Renjis Empati was going to the outside lavatory when he saw part of his communal longhouse collapsing. He alerted his sleeping neighbors. Then the whole building collapsed.
Longhouses are communal buildings used by indigenous people in the state of Sarawak on the island of Borneo.
The people living in the 14 apartments managed to escape before the collapse of the building.
So, if anyone tells you not to drink fluids late at night because you'll have to get up to pee--think again.
