Actor B.J. Novak from The Office appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien bearing proof that Cadbury eggs have recently shrunk. In tow were two Cadbury eggs; the egg from yesteryear was clearly larger than the egg currently on shelves.
An Easter Rip Off of Eastoricol Proportions. I have uncovered the truth about why I can't seem to get enough Cadbury eggs. Because there is not as much egg!!!

According to Wikipedia they have shrunk by 12.3% A package of four eggs weighed 155 grams in 2005, but only weighs 136 grams this year.

That's right. We are being swindled! We have egg on our faces.(Well if you are really messy...or a toddler)

What will the egg look like in 2010? An M&M? I am truly shocked and awed...

The conspiracy goes to the Cadbury Faq on their website as well. Here is what they say:

Why has the size of the egg changed?
It hasn't - you've just grown up!

Lies...

First of all...No I haven't...Secondly I have proof...

This video is the smoking gun...

I called Cadbury but the peeps there just laughed maniacally and told me to enjoy it while I can, cuz I'm about to grow up more next year...

This video is hilarious. As far as pointless facts you don't need to know, this one stands out this week for me. Strangely interesting -- I found myself confused as to why I cared so much about the size of these eggs. haha

I am so ticked off...I knew there was less to that egg....But it still tastes yummy...who do they think they are???

I can't raise much more of a stink, or I risk angering the peeps on P-Day.....

    shhhh

Great video, they are cheating for sure, it looks different. It is amazing that BJ Novak found this, maybe a political career is waiting for him.

I think this has to be one of the worst years for attacks on Easter which of course is a Christian holiday.
First a bunch ,or is it a flock, of roosters attack the Easter bunny, then it is rumored that because it is so cold in Michigan that the Easter bunny was spotted at Detroit-Metro airport trying to get a ticket to the Caribbean. The significance of that is he was so upset that HE turned chicken and decided to forget Easter and what his job is.
Then in another unnamed state, because I can't remember the state as I am so upset, they say there can't be an Easter Bunny anymore he now has to be Peter Rabbit!! Good grief don't they remember Old Peter was a thief!!
And now this-- the Cadbury egg is getting smaller and smaller. If those who love those eggs don't rise up in protest they will completely do away with the egg. They will have to come up with a new form for the candy. Why because in some remote way THE EGG is associated with Easter.
Hope you all take this in fun as it was meant to be.
Hope your day was a nice one.

My only issue with the whole thing is... Why would the company lie about it?

    @ Sweebish1:

Good question, but the answer is easy: They want to cover their ass. In the age of the Internet/YouTube, however, something like this will really come back to bite them where the Cadbury don't shine.
