The Taxis of the Future

The Design Trust for Public Space put together Taxi 07 Exhibit, a showcase of taxi prototypes and concepts, at the New York International Auto Show in celebration of the New York taxi's 100th anniversary.

The Design Trust for Public Space has decided to organize a public space whereby new Taxi car designs can be showcased for all to see. The New York City taxi has become a mainstay of the island and is synonymous with New York for tourists and natives equally. This exhibit aims simply to invigorate the industry and find new ways of designing the future taxi that would best serve the interests of passengers and taxi drivers.
