article imageYoung Pregnant Woman Shot Dead In 'Well To Do' Area

By Michelle Duffy     Apr 6, 2007 in Crime
In a beautiful part of London, a shocking shooting of a three month pregnant woman has taken place, apparently over a parking space
The 22 year old pregnant woman was shot dead outside her home in Belleville Road, Battersea, in South West London after a dispute between her self an a neighbour. She was fatally shot once and pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Krystal Hart was found slumped in her hallway of her flat in what is described as a nice road to live in. The incident is now being investigated by police and may well be confirmed as being over a parking space.
Det Ch Insp Colin Sutton, of Scotland Yard told BBC 24, "There had been some pretty low-level dispute between this unfortunate victim and her neighbour and it may be that that's got some bearing on what happened, but certainly nothing in the past has happened here of this magnitude."
Her partner is currently being comforted by friends and family and is talking to police in the hope of shedding some light as to what exactly the dispute was all about.
There is, however, a CCTV in operation in the building which, police are fairly hopeful, will give them more information as to how the why the incident took place.
Mr Sutton had said of the crime, "This is a truly, truly horrific crime. We've got a young girl, 22 years old, pregnant, shot down in her own home. I can't begin to describe how awful that is."
Police are currently examining the area and have appealed for anyone to come forward who may know anything about the murder.
