Even in death, John Lennon is still spreading his hopes of peace.
The famous piano that was used by Beatles legend John Lennon to compose his song "Imagine" in 1971 is going on a cross-country tour. Musician George Michael who purchased the piano in 2000 for $2.1 million (1.45m pounds sterling) has provided the piece for the tour.
The first stop was Dallas, Texas where the piano was displayed as the centerpiece of a photography exhibition to celebrate peace. Photographers will display their photos of warzone images along side the piano. The video, "Gimme the Truth" when Lennon first played the song to wife Yoko Ono will also be shown. The exhibit was on display December through January to commemorate the 1963 assasination of John F. Kennedy.
The next stop on the tour is Memphis, Tennessee, where Martin Luther King, Jr.died in 1968.
This is the first time the piano has left the United Kingdom, and it is considered the most expensive piece of pop memorabilia,
