An iPod saves soldier's life from an insurgent's AK-47 gunshot.
It is a picture blog article, one of the Soldier's Kevin Garrad from 3rd Infantry Division carried an iPod one day and that saved his life from a gunshot in Iraq. He was on a street patrol in Tikrit, while he was rounding the corner of a building an armed insurgent with an AK-47 came from the other side.
When both Kevin and the insurgent were close to each other, they opened fire on each other. The insurgent was killed. Kevin was shot also, luckily for him it hit the left chest where his iPod was in his jacket pocket. The iPod took the hit and slowed the bullet down enough it didn't fully penetrate the body armor, Kevin was wearing. Kevin suffered no wound from this incident.
Here is the bigger picture of the iPod:
Incredible soldier escaped because of an iPod, Gates should send one free iPod to him.
