article imageContractor abandoned pool construction in families backyard

By shally_316     Apr 5, 2007 in Crime
A family wants justice after the contractor they hired didn't install their pool and left their backyard completely destroyed.
How would you feel if you and your family hired a contractor to install a pool in your backyard but instead of installing the pool the contractor left your backyard torn up with mud, soil, and caved in construction everywhere? Wouldn’t you and your family want justice?
That’s exactly what a Wallingford family is trying to get justice. The contractor they hired (Kevin Butler) dug up their backyard and left it a mess without even installing the pool.
The Pacific’s gave Butler $3,000 when he was supposed to start the job last April. Butler received another $3,000 dollars just a few weeks later. They haven’t seen Butler since July.
“We’ve talked to other people that he’s done this to” Pacific said.
“He’s left somebody else’s backyard the same way.”
After the Pacific’s contacted the town and state officials police arrested Bulter Tuesday night on a warrant from the attorney general’s office.
Butler was arrested on very serious criminal charges and could face four years of imprisonment.
Butler remains in police custody.
