The Iraq war sees it's deadliest bombing ever
As the 4-year long war in Iraq continues to escalate the deadliest single bombing in this history of the war happened today, killing a staggering 152 people in the town of Tal Afar, over 300 others were also wounded.
100 homes were destroyed when the blast went off, triggered by Al Qaeda members that left a 75-ft wide crater.
"It took us a while to recover all the bodies from underneath the rubble of the homes ... what did they achieve by using two tons of explosive to kill and wound 500 in a residential area?" officials said.
As my youngest brother prepares to go to Iraq this year I just pray that he can stay out of these kinds of blast areas. This war is nowhere near being over and I fear he could be there or a long time. Don't I remember someone standing on a ship and waving in triumph with a sign behind him that said "Mission Accomplished?" I truly wish that statement was true.
