A second member of the Royal Navy crew captured by Iranian forces has apologized for "trespassing" in Iranian waters in a broadcast which aired on Iranian television.
The crewman, whose name is Nathan Thomas Summers, said on video "I would like to apologize for entering your waters without permission."
Today a third letter allegedly written by LS Turney, who released the first videotaped apology, was released. In it, "she" writes that she had been "sacrificed to the polices of the UK and US governments" and she demanded "an end to oppressive behaviors towards other people".
As in the first video, Summers reported that the Iranians were treating them well and they have not been harmed.
The UN Security council has made a statement voicing "grave concern" at Iran's actions and urges an early resolution to the issue, but does not deplore Iran's action as the UK requested.
Do the Iranians think they're fooling anyone? I saw the first video which was obviously scripted.. come on now. I agree with what Jon Stewart said last night on The Daily Show for those of you who watched. :)
