Taxpayers in Ontario will learn today which Ontario bureaucrats they pay the most.
The annual "Sunshine List" of civil servants who make over $100 thousand is being released.
The list continues to grow every year and is several binders thick.
CJQM radio reported at 7:00 a. m. this morning, "Premier McGuinty says he is not thinking about tinkering with the list to make it shorter. He says the current system is a good transparent way to see how much government workers make. "
The so-called Sunshine List gives taxpayers a chance to see how their tax dollars are being spent and who's getting the biggest bang from the taxpayers' bucks.
Last year it was ex-Hydro One C. E. O. Tom Parkinson who topped the list with a salary of $1.56 million.
Just to let you know, no one in the soome family made the list, but once it is released, the soome family will be asking a lot of questions, as usual.
