There is nothing inherently wrong with biofuel, if produced properly. However, current manufacturing is often the cause of food shortages, loss of wildlife habitat, huge carbon emissions and population displacement.
These are some BIG concerns to think about when dealing with Biofuel! The prices are being raised for the demand on biofuel crops, and it is making them less affordable as a food crop.
If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. I was certain it wasn't long before problems arose. With that being said.....now that these crops are being harvested for fuel, what is our wildlife going to eat? It is going to drive them to go elsewhere, or die off if this continues to be a big success. What are we gonna have left for ourselves? The demand of biofuel crops are gonna take up space for our food sources eventually.
Another issue is that virgin land is being stripped for planting as demand for these crops to grow. Beautiful untouched land, where wildlife habitats are.
"If the process cannot be improved, then would we be better to rely on petroleum?"
