article imageRock Star's Wife Has Hot Temper, Sets Husbands $10,000 Wardrobe on Fire

By Lisa Angotti     Mar 26, 2007 in Entertainment
A popular singer and his wife had a wild weekend, children in tow, which led to burnt clothes, trashed hotel rooms, and the arrest of the singer's wife.
The wife of Velvet Revolver singer Scott Weiland has a hot temper, it seems. She was arrested in Toluca Lake after the couple had a fight at a hotel, which left at least two rooms vandalized with $400 in damages.
Felony arson charges were given to Weiland's 31-year-old wife, Mary, after she set fire to a trash can full of the singer's clothes. The wardrobe was worth at least $10,000.
"Both rooms had damage and items scattered, broken plates and things. It was looking definitely like items were deliberately destroyed," Officer Ferguson said.
Weiland's wife was at the 100-room Graciela Hotel room with their 4-year-old and 6-year-old children when she voluntarily agreed to go to police headquarters. The children were placed with family or friends.
"She is a suspect in the vandalism. He is not," Ferguson said.
The Graciela Hotel is home-away-from-home for many of its guests who opt for extended stays in the hotel's spacious kitchenette suits.
