HTC announces two new paradigm wireless devices at CTIA
Taiwan's HTC manufactures Windows Mobile smartphones. In their own country they mostly sell computers but in the United States they sell mostly cell phone. HTC has announced at an expo in Florida that it will be combining the two and releasing it into US markets.
HTC has named the new phone Shift. IT has a cell phone inside but is also a full Windows Vista PC capabilities. It has a 7 inch touch screen with a 30 GB hard drive and a slide open QWERTY keyboard. This cellphone/laptop comes with all the ports a normal computer would come with along with Wi-Fi connectivity.
The price of this new gadget has not yet been announced but it is expected to be "competitive" and it will be released in the USA and Europe in the Fall. They also have announced a similar less decked out version called the "advantage" that is set to be released on Amazon.com sometime this summer.
