Celebrities from TV's top shows are banding together, literally, for charity.
Band From TV is a project started by Heroes star Greg Grunberg. Joined by James Denton (Desperate Housewives) on guitar, British actor Hugh Laurie (House) on piano, and Bob Guiney (The Bachelor) singing lead vocal, Grunberg (who plays the drums) has arranged for the band's proceeds to go entirely to charities of the actors' choosing.
All the money from Band From TV's live performances and DVD sales goes to charity. The band's first DVD is scheduled for release in September. The band has recorded music for upcoming episodes of House.
"It's a win-win, and we are having a great time," Grunberg told People Magazine. "Everyone brings their own flavor of music."
