Police: Drunken Victims Slept through Stabbing

Three people were stabbed over the weekend in a Scottsdale apartment (Arizona), but two of the victims were so drunk that they slept through the attack.

Police said a man broke into a woman's apartment at the Mirasol apartment complex around 3 a.m. last Saturday. The man then stabbed the 22-year-old woman in the stomach and proceeded to stab the two men in the apartment with her, aged 22 and 24, who were sleeping on the living room couch. Despite the intense pain associated with being stabbed, the two men were so intoxicated that they slept through the attack. The woman was not as fortunate and left the apartment to call 911, but the call was lost shortly after she was connected to police. Police then used GPS and cell site information to locate the area where the call originated, but officers said they were unable to located a crime scene. After the dropped call the woman went back into her apartment and promptly fell asleep. At 9 a.m., the victims arose and again called police to request medical help. The men have been treated and released but the 22-year-old female is still being held for observation, although her injuries do not appear to be lifethreatening. This story makes me sorta laugh and baffles me at the same time. How drunk does one have to be to sleep through a stabbing??
