Halle Berry Says No More Marriages

By Chris V. Thangham     Mar 20, 2007 in Entertainment
Actress Halle Berry says no to marriages.
Though she's been dating model Gabriel Aubry for more than a year, Halle Berry says she doesn't plan to walk down the aisle with him – or anybody.
"I will never, never get married again," the Oscar winner, 40, says in the April issue of InStyle.
Halle Berry has married twice and both ended in divorce, one to David Justice, Atlanta Braves Baseball player and the second R&B Singer Eric Benét.
She says in the interview that two people can share their lives without the ring, without the piece of paper.
She and her boyfriend Gabriel Aubry are seeing each other since November 2005, when they met shooting a Versace ad.
"After my last relationship [with actor Michael Ealy] broke up I was feeling like, well, it wasn't that I didn't want to be in a relationship, it's just that I thought it would be okay to be on my own," she tells InStyle.
She said Aubry is different, he is sweet, caring and also shy. He hardly talked to her at first. "It wasn't a slam dunk; it wasn't the guy just showering affection on me. It made it more interesting. We were equally matched – put it that way." And the future? Berry, who has said she wants to adopt, tells the magazine: "I definitely want children. Very much."
She wants to become a mother soon, she said in the recent Reader's Digest magazine that motherhood will be her next important role. She wants to teach her kids hard work and integrity is what matters most.
She will be a terrific mother, hope she will change her mind and get married also because others are looking up to her as well.
