Do You Know The Secret? And, More Importantly, Should You? OP/ED

We’ve all heard of the Scientologists, Those that study the Kabbala, The Christians, Jews and Muslims – But Have You Met The Rosicrucians? And, More Importantly, Should You? So, What's "The Secret" anyway....

There’s something big going on. A way of thinking, of living and believing that is just now coming into the light. It is making its way collectively around the world. What started many years ago as the “New Age” movement, has now evolved to a much higher level. Oprah, in February 2007, introduced the concept of “The Secret” to the American viewing audience. Following the airing of this program, the message boards on Oprah’s site were filled with people desperate for more information. Seems everyone wants to know – Just What Is "The Secret"?? In a nutshell, “The Secret” is being described as the law of attraction. It is the power of one’s own mind, the collective “I Am” thought process that says what you think – you become. It teaches that you, with your mind, create your own reality. If you believe you will have money, you will. If you believe you will find love, you will. Want to lose weight? Get a job? Have a baby? Well, if you know "The Secret" you will. If you adhere to it's principles, whatever thoughts you put into the Universe, those thoughts – both good and bad – will come back to you. With someone as rich and powerful and successful as Oprah touting “The Secret” and indicating she practices this religion, if one can call it that, will it not be surprising that thousands will follow her lead? But, is she leading in the right direction? “The Secret” Oprah and others are speaking of is founded within two principles – Science and the practices of The Rosicrucian Order. We all know the “scientific” theory of creation. The science of quantum physics is the first half of the foundation for “The Secret”, and has been well documented in the movie “What The Bleep Do We Know”. The second part is based upon the teachings of the Rosicrucians. But how much to we know about The Rosicrucian Theory? The Rosicrucian system is unique—it provides a foundation that ties together all of the different aspects of metaphysical study, and demonstrates their interconnectedness. It is the “One Mind” theory of humanity. That we are collectively ONE – and that our thoughts are our energy, and the energy we create essentially creates our world.

Under the principles of “The Secret” when bad things happen people might ask, "Oh, God, why me?" And the collective answer would be "Because it is you.” You are God." I Am God.

The unifying principle is called “The One” within its belief system, which teaches that there is The All, or one "Cause", of which we, and the entire universe, are all a part. So that's "The Secret" I Am Actually God. Interesting, right? I can create my own reality. I need nothing but the power of my own mind to make my existence a truly "heavenly" experience. Wow......I'm thinking money, fame and fortune. Will you think with me? The check is in the mail.....I'm thinking harder now. Harder. I believe. I am God, how can I possibly fail myself. Well, I'm sorry, but as a Christian I have a serious problem with this. Even if you're not, but have studied the Bible, do you see where “The Secret” is leading? Matthew 24: As he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately and said, "Tell us, when will this happen, and what sign will there be of your coming, and of the end of the age?" Jesus said to them in reply, "See that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am the Messiah,' and they will deceive many. So, is “The Secret” actually the true and final solution to the world’s problems? Are we in fact, one collective mind, and if we all focus that mind on what is good and right, and believe that we, ourselves, are God, and that we can control the destiny of the world – Is this actually the truth? Are we standing on the threshold of the "One World Religion"? A Religion that will usher in peace and love throughout mankind. Or are we instead being masterfully deceived by Satan, and led even further down the path of ultimate destruction? What do you believe?
