As user Sayovi reported about Angelina Jolie's sped up adoption process, is this fair to the millions of every day people who are trying to adopt?
When reading the news on Digital Journal, I came across an article in regards to Angelina Jolie's adoption process being sped up by Vietnam.

The question is, is it fair that these celebrities with their ridiculous amounts of money are able to get what they want, when they want it for large sums of money, when everyday people wait months, even years and often suffer heartache for something a celebrity is able to achieve in not even half the time?

Angelina Jolie has been a light in the dark to millions of refugees all over the world, and has brought a significant amount of attention to their stories. Jolie has now adopted three children, from different parts of the world and possibly even inspired people to look into adoption. However, many people who may have been inspired by Jolie's adoption may not be in for such a joyful ride.

A friend of mine was in the process of adopting young child from Vietnam long before it became "fashionable" and just recently was told it would take longer now and cost thousands of dollars more than expected, due to new rules and regulations in Vietnam.

The news on Jolie's adoption was devastating to her, especially after hearing that Jolie achieved in a few months what she wanted so badly with her husband for over the past two years. This friend gave up coming home for Christmas, to save the air fare to travel to Vietnam and pick up their son or daughter. My friend's husband is Vietnamese and they have tried having their own children but have had several miscarriages. The couple has now been forced to look into other adoption options, since they can't afford nor wait any longer to start a family

Jolie has not only adopted three children, but has also biologically been blessed to have a child with partner, Brad Pitt.

Celebrity adoptions are not accurate representations of how the adoption process really works and although Jolie is a great humanitarian and has done much good for the world, perhaps her doing a documentary on the actual adoption process and what is endured would be more inspirational.
