Man took call during rape, police say

Timothy Michael Seibert's rape of a 49-year-old woman was interrupted by a phone call from his wife. According to police, the rape victim was so close to the phone she could hear Seibert's wife asking him where he was and what he was doing.

The incident took place last August 30th. 24-year-old Seibert was arraigned yesterday on charges of rape, sexual assault and indecent assault. He was released on $25,000 bail. The victim, whose identity is currently being concealed, knew Seibert and stated that he had raped her once before. On the day in question, Seibert (who lived in the same neighborhood as the woman) came over, saying he wanted to talk. The two sat outside but Seibert followed the woman in after awhile, pushing her down a hallway and into her bedroom where he forced himself on her. After Seibert received the telephone call from his wife, he dressed and left. DNA evidence has been collected from the scene and is expected to be used in the trial against Seibert. Very odd case.. I wonder what the wife is thinking now.. I wonder why he answered the phone call? It really doesn't make much sense.
