Police from the town of Liskeard in England, who spent 8 hours searching for a 9 year old boy after he was reported missing find him in his bed.
His mother had sent him to school only for him never to arrive. He was eventually found snug and warm. Apparently he had pretended to go to school at 8 am, only to double back and go back to Bed. Police stated they were “Glad that he is alive”
I have to admit as a parent I have sympathy for the anguish the mother must have felt, my 5 year old was playing in our back garden, one minute we could see her, the next gone. We called her name nothing, we checked her room, again nothing. Panic set in. We searched up and down the street calling her name, friends and neighbours joined in, nothing. Suddenly our oldest daughter ran out of the house “Dad come here” I went into the house and I could hear muffled weeping. I found my precious little girl hiding in her wardrobe. She thought it would be fun to play hide and seek with us but gave her self the advantage of not telling us. She was giggling to her self as we searched the house and her bedroom. Then when she heard the panic in the voices of her Mum, Dad and neighbours she became scared that she had been naughty and wouldn't come out. It was a very harrowing and emotional episode for all of us.but quite a cute and funny story to look back on....... Kids what would we do without them?
