So you want to be a published author, do you? Well now you can. It’s really not that hard to do and does not cost a whole lot to boot.
Original article by Posthappy: First and foremost, I just want to say to all of you who want to “be published”. Guess what…. You already are!
Here at DJ, we, you me, post newsworthy stories; tales and thought provoking articles that already prove you are published. Even if it is "only on the Internet".
How do I know this you ask? Because by doing just those things and getting
paid for it, already puts you into a different category from others;
One of paid writer… author of many articles and stories that the whole world,
OK the digital world, has come to know and love.
People come back here to “read all about it” from your perspective; presented to and for all the world to read. And like it or not, believe me when I tell you, that Already makes you published.
And good for you,me, everyone: well done!
But if that’s not satisfying enough for your burning hunger of being published then this article is for you!
If you have read through many of the comments on this site, the one thing that has continually come up is the “thought of publishing” your own work.
Well I am here to break the news to you…
You can write your own work, and
You can publish it. For not only yourself, but for anyone else who cares to read it.
Just imagine having
your own book on
your own coffee table, for you to ogle over and brag about? Well at
Blurb they give you the tools to do just that. This is where you will find the tools to live out your lifelong dream. All for free. OK, I admit it, only the software is free, but having the right tools is half the battle. Only if you decide to
publish your work, will there be a charge for the first book, but until then, you can use the software to your hearts content.
They show you how, give you templates to work with, allow it to be printed in soft or hard cover. Imagine the possibilities. Your own photography book, travel book, book of peotry or cookbook of heirloom recipes. The possibilities are endless.
You can create your own coffee table book, purchase the first copy for around fifteen buckaroos and then display it on
your own coffee table for all your friends to admire. And admire it they will, because it’s
got your name as the author on it.
How cool is that?
If they really like it, you can send them to the site and have them purchase it for themselves, with the profits going straight into your pocket. You can then blog about it and drive traffic to the site to have others purchase it. Heck, you can even
publish your blog.
If that is too impersonal for you, then you can publish your own book, purchase all and any copies, and give as presents to all your friends and family.
Where there is a will, and the Internet to help, the will always be a way.
So here is the
link.
I just want you all
budding authors to go there and indulge yourself in
your lifelong dream of being published.
It really is that easy. Honest.
Hope you find this useful…. Cheers.
