The Smith's can't make heads or tails of a new presidential dollar coin they found last week. It doesn't have either. The coins slipped out of the U.S. mint without "In God We Trust" stamped on the edge, they found one with nothing on either flat side.
It has IN GOD WE TRUST on the edge, but Washington and the Statue of Liberty are missing. The U.S. mint has not confirmed their find yet. But one of the most well known coin autheticators in the country is sure it is real. They speculate that it could be worth thousands or more.
Quite a lucky find. Like hitting the lottery. They are coin collector's so they will probably keep it. They must be very lucky as well, as the coin would have had to have passed several inspection stages to have left the mint like that.
