The actor Sylvester Stallone has been charged with importing a banned human growth hormone into Australia.
Sylvester Enzio Stallone was born July 6, 1946, in New York, NY. Sylvester Stallone is a living legend and an under appreciated actor. It will take decades for historians to look back and give credit to the man who redefined what an action hero was. Before Arnold Schwarzenegger went from a low-budget B-movie actor, Stallone was already setting the tone for action films with Rocky and Rambo.
Stallone is one of the world's most famous men. He is one of the top earners in Hollywood, yet for all that he has done, he never gets any respect. They were big movies that needed a big star to anchor them, and Stallone will always fit the bill. Bottom line, as far as movie stars go Stallone is one of the biggest ones out there!
Though he his known as a great movie actor, he spoiled his fame when he was stopped by customs officials at Sydney airport last month as a banned human growth hormone was found in his luggage.
When Stallone, 60, flew into Australia to promote his latest film, Rocky Balboa.,the harmone which is considered as a performance enhancing drug and not supposed to be carried with out special permits, was found by the custom officials where 48 small bottles of them were in his luggage which also led to a raid on his hotel room.
The maximum penalty for the offence is more than A$96,000 (£40,000) and a five-year prison sentence.
The 60-year-old actor was not in court to hear the charge against him.
He is thought to be in Thailand, where he is making his fourth Rambo film.
