For the first time in 16 years, video game giant, Electronic Arts, will changing its leader.
Larry Probst, CEO at Electronic Arts (EA) for 16 years will be CEO no longer. An Electronic Arts executive who left the company in 2004, John Riccitiello, will return to take over Probst's position.
"The EA sports franchise is a huge and important business, and as a consumer of these products I can say not many gamers are critical of sports sequels," Riccitiello said..
"Larry's by far the most successful executive in the industry."
Depite that fact that Probst was responsible for raising EA's stock prices by 70 percent, he has been widely criticized for relying too heavily on game franchises like The Sims and Need for Speed, and for not being open to new ideas.
Electronic Arts is known for publishing major video game titles including The Sims, Need for Speed, John Madden, Tiger Woods, Harry Potter, and Tiger Woods.
