Two women who were poisoned in Moscow 11 days ago have returned to Los Angeles.
The grown up daughter and her mother doctor have flown back to the U.S and were seen at the city's International airport in wheelchairs as they are still recovering from their frightening ordeal.
Marina Kovalevsky and her daughter, Yana have returned to their community of 15 years and were said to be 'stable' but still very unwell. No one can understand who could have poisoned them with the same substance that was, at one point, connected with the death of Alexander Litvinenko - thallium.
All who know the mother and daughter personally are said to be deeply shocked with the story, but glad they are now home.
A friend of the family said, "Everybody is upset, everybody is talking about it."
Marina and her daughter, Yana, are well known in the Russian community of Los Angeles.
