Yellowstone Bears are coming out of Hibernation

By dollygirl     Mar 7, 2007 in Environment
Yellowstone Bears are waking up. Grizzly Bear tracks were spotted February 28th in the southern part of the park; followed by other spottings.
These wonderful creatures wake up hungry and on the wrong side of the bed. Rangers caution observers to stay 100 yards away from Grizzly bear and Black bear. My opinion. I wouldn't want to be even that close.
Male Grizzly wake earlier from hibernation, followed by females. Female with young can emerge as late May.
