Associated Press to Complain About US Censorship

by Fortunesfool.
Associated Press is set to lodge a complaint with the US military over alleged censorship, as it says US soldiers deleted footage of the aftermath of an attack in Afghanistan.
Afghanistan's President, Hamid Karzi claimed that coalition forces opened fire on civilians in response to a suicide attack. Freelance journalist's working for Associated Press said that soldiers erased footage of a vehicle in which three people were shot dead in the attack.

A spokesperson for the military however said that there was no reports of the confiscation of any video material. They also said that the incident occurred after a convoy of marines came under attack from a suicide bomber and took small arms fire.

However, the Afghan President "strongly condemned" the incident. Reports say that American forces fired indiscriminately on civilians. Thousands of people took to the streets on Sunday following the incident.
