OVC CHAMPIONSHIP-Eastern KY 63 Austin Peay 62

Freshman Josh Taylor drove to the hoop with 2.9 seconds left and Eastern Kentucky (21-11) beat Austin Peay (21-11) to win the OVC championship last night in Nashville, Tennessee.

Austin Peay who had beaten EKU in two previous meeting this season rallied from a 59-51 deficit tot take a 62-61 lead with with 21.8 seconds left but EKU got the ball with 6.6 seconds to go when Taylor hit the game winner.

Mike Rose led Eastern Kentucky with 19 points.

SOUTHERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP

Stephen Curry the son of former NBA star Dell Curry poured in 29 points to as Davidson won the Southern Conference yesterday in No. Charleston, SC.

Curry is the Southern Conference freshman of the year.

"Andy Wicke and Andrew Preston had 18 points apiece and the Bruins made 12 3s in the first half en route to winning their second straight Atlantic Sun Conference tournament championship and NCAA bid with a 94-67 victory over East Tennessee State on Saturday" in Johnson City, TN.

IVY LEAGUE REGULAR SEASON CHAMPION

Pennsylvania who clinched the IVY League Championship on 2-24-06 beat with a win over Dartmouth beat Brown yesterday 67-64.

Ibrahim Jaaber led the Quakers with 22 points. "Penn has won 21 straight home Ivy League games. The Quakers end their regular season at Princeton on Tuesday night."
