Godaddy's explanations or excuses are vague and the domain still points to godaddy's inhouse domain parking, which makes godaddy a lot of money for each click and the domains new owner is hidden by godaddy service Domains by Proxy.
I agree with the article, if the email address were in question, they could have tried to contact by other means. This just tells people that Godaddy does not care about their customers and their customers business and domain property. It makes it clear that they are out to screw their customers for profit at every opportunity.
