In the world of console shooters, two player co-op is sooo 2001. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2's sixteen player missions rewrite the book on cooperative gameplay.
Remember, we're talking about the console world here, so PC geeks should STFU and go back to playing Battlefield. Still with us? Good. Here's the intel on GRAW 2 's co-op wonderland.
The six mission cooperative campaign is linked to the main story, but tasks you and your associates with toppling a corrupt general in Panama. Online you'll be able to form clans of up to 100 members, complete with officer rankings and custom logos. An arsenal of 62 rebel-shredding weapons is at your disposal, the best of which are a .50 caliber sniper rifle and a 6-shot grenade launcher.
With options like that, how can you resist checking out the three maps we played? We take you through each one, with video, on the following pages.
I never really was much of a fan of the first GRAW, but now I think GRAW 2 is my favourite game for the xbox 360. I havne't even played it before, and I already know it is going to be good. You want to know why? 16 player co-op missions. Never has this been done before like this.
And knowing it is a game from Ubi Soft, and it follows the Tom CLancy series, that is going to be even better. I would get this game hands down with in the first week or two it is out. And the whole clan thing, excellent. I always liked it when they added clan battles and such, especially in the Socom fireteam bravo games. So Ubi Soft, keep up the good work.
