While Dog Sleeps, Cat Saves Owner From Fire

The cat is being credited with waking up Edward Rooney after a fire started in his North Norwich home.

Fire officials say the man was asleep on the couch Tuesday morning when the cat woke him up. He then discovered a fire in the bedroom and called the fire department. He is ok and was treated for smoke inhalation. It was caused by an electrical malfunction in his vcr.

Another good reason to stay on top of current technology. What a lazy dog. You can always count on the cat in my experience. They are super intelligent animals. They save lives. The lesson here. DVD players and cats. Yep.

I hope he gave the cat a special treat after that.
