FORT LAUDERDALE -- A 96-year-old mobster pleaded guilty Wednesday to overseeing robberies and other crimes for the Genovese crime family, but the man who needed a cane and had trouble hearing in court likely will avoid prison because of his age.
So picture this, you commit crimes all your life, never get caught, and then when you're about a 100 years of age, you come clean and no-one can do anything about it because you're too old. Hahaha this was an amazing find to me because it's funny and shows how we're willing to bend some rules to "respect the elderly" even if that elderly person happens to have ties to one of the well known mafia families.
Mr. Facchiano was given a special headset just so he could hear the judge and the proceedings of the court while he was sitting there admitting all his crimes.
