Check signed by King Savior, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Servant
Kevin Russel, 21 was arrested Monday after he attempted to cash a check for $50,000 at a local Bank in Hobart, Indiana.
The check was signed "King Savior, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Servant,"
He was charged with attempted check fraud and intimidation, both felony charges and could face prison time.
Police were alerted to the scene when bank tellers realized the check was written on an invalid Bank One check with no special imprint. When he was searched they found several other checks in his possession, all signed the same way, one written for $100,000.
Russel struggled with police and will also be charged with resisting arrest.
"I've heard about God giving out eternal life, but this is the first time I've heard of him giving out cash," one witness said.
