Eddie Murphy is not a sore loser says his agent.
This is the update for the earlier article: Eddie Murphy Stormed Out of Oscar Ceremony After Losing.
Eddie Murphy left his seat at the Kodak Theatre after losing the Best Supporting Actor Oscar (for Dreamgirls) to Little Miss Sunshine's Alan Arkin – but his rep says the comedian would have done the same thing even if he'd won.
Eddie Murphy was derided by many after his quick exit from the Oscars by news agencies and also across the internet, since then his rep, Arnold Robinson, is trying to defuse the situation. Arnold says that Eddie had already planned to leave after his Oscars category was announced to spend the rest of the evening with his family. He said Eddie did the same thing after winning the Golden Globe Awards.
Page Six, the gossips section in NY Post and TMZ.com (The Movie Zone of AOL.com) called Eddie Murphy a sore loser after the upset by Alan Arkin.
However, Eddie Murphy who was with his girl friend Tracey Edmonds, didn't actually make a quick exit. Eddie Murphy and Tracey were seen outside the theater doors, having a long conversation with Studio Mogul Harvey Weinstein and in a cheery mood.
Are you satisfied now that Eddie is not a sore loser or Eddie Murphy and his agent are just making up an excuse for the quick exit?
