New formats confirmed for Virtual Console

By Aaron Robson     Feb 24, 2007 in Technology
Nintendo to add NEO GEO and MSX support to the Virtual Console in Spring 2007.
Games for the NEO GEO and MSX formats will be made available to download onto Wii as Nintendo expands its Virtual Console service.
The update, which is currently only confirmed for the Japanese Virtual Console, is due to be made in spring.
The Wii is at it again, except this time they are doing a good job of it...well, sort of. The Wii is always bringing back games that people played around 30 years ago and it sort of makes you wonder, will the same thing happen 30 years from now?
It actually makes you wonder what the technology is going to be in 30 years time. If it advances like gaming has advanced these past 30-40 years or so, can we expect exact life like hologram graphics that will allow us to use our whole bodies as remote controls? I tell you one thing, that would be awesome.
But it seems silly now and this point almost absurd...meaning not likely to happen. But I think it is possible, think about it this way, did the people from 30 years ago expect the games to be like this? Or did they still thin there will be more versions of asteroids made?
