New Jersey Man gets prison time in child porn case

Undercover police caught a New Jersey man using his computer to distribute pornography to someone he thought was a 13 year old girl.

Kenneth Shirley, 43, was sentenced to 8 years in prison. He will do at least 2 years before he can apply for parole. The sentence comes from the arrest and charges of endangering the welfare of a child, possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography. He was caught trying to send pornography and explicit sexual chats to someone he thought was a 13 year old girl but instead it was an undercover NJ trooper. The police got a search warrant for Shirley's home and found his computer filled with 22 pictures of child porn and printouts of children in pornographic poses. Shirley is married and lived with his wife and son. The son was removed from the home because the child had seen some of the pictures. He is in foster care now. Another sicko off the streets for a few years. Good work by the police. I hope the boy gets some counciling as well. I am sure it is hard on the child to be removed from his home and his mother.
