Bindi Irwin, daughter of the crocodile hunter, in Toronto promoting Australian widlife, while carrying on her father's legacy.
This pint-sized wildlife warrior, who last year promised to carry on her father's legacy, is in Toronto with her Mom, promoting Australia wildlife. In an event at Toronto's Yonge and Dundas streets Geo Dome, young Bindi took centre stage with the boundless energy her father once exhibited.
To the delight of her pint-sized audience, Bindi sang and danced while showing off some animals such as snakes, a lion and a kangaroo. Her message was clear: “The message I want to share with kids my age is to love, don't fear all the animals -- and animals are just like us”.
Her mother commented that is was not always easy for her and that she "honour(s) my grief. If I'm having a tough day, I don't try to push it down. I'm okay to cry, I'm okay to have hard days".
She and her mother are here as a part of tourism Australia in an event called G’Day Toronto as sister campaign to G’Day USA.
The Geo dome was erected for this and other events that are taking place during this cold winter in the Dundas Square, which is usually an open market arena.
